How did you come up with the name of your blog Oh gosh! Maycie After Five is such a silly name isn't it? I started my blog as a fun and creative hobby for me to do after work. I get off work at five so that's why I decided to name my blog Maycie After Five. when where you introduced to fashion Ever since my mom let me put together my own daily outfits. Maybe about 4 years old. how do you describe your style I would describe my style as easy and comfortable. I hate looking too fancy. I cringe at the thought. what made you start a fashion blog It's a really nice way to relax after a long day at work. That's why I started. what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world I don't think I bring anything in particular to the fashion blog world. I'm no fashion journalist for sure. I'm just having fun connecting with people who have a passion for shoes and clothes like I do. how is your style different than everyone else I don't know that my style is different. I'm just a girl from a midsized California town who happens to love fashion. who is your inspiration My style inspiration growing up was my mom and still is. She has the most effortless style I've ever seen. what impression do you want to leave on the people that visits your blog That less is more. who is your favorite designer I love Alexander Wang. His designs are so classic but with a twist. Everything I wish my wardrobe to be. what piece is a must have in your closet My husband's grandmother gave me a vintage fur coat that her husband gave her as a wedding anniversary gift way back in the 60s. It holds a special place in my heart. I say it's a must have because it's warm and fuzzy. Everyone needs at least one of those in their closet.

how did you come up with the name of your blog I started to blog not long ago after I bought my first Jeffrey Campbell Shoes, yes the buckled ankle boots in brown leather. So I decided to name my blog Brown Platform, inspired by the shoes from JC, my first JC shoes. I'm so grateful to Jeffrey Campbell for designing such amazing shoes. when where you introduced to fashion Since I was in secondary school. It was because my eldest sister. She used to be a shoes freak/collector back then and not to mention she also loves to buy tons of fashion magazines until now. Since then, I can't not love fashion. how do you describe your style Well, I don't have any specific style, one day I could dress girly and another day I could dress the opposite. I just love to mix and match everything that I have as long as it looks nice and comfortable, but catchy at the same time. what made you start a fashion blog Because of LOOKBOOK.nu. I started using LOOKBOOK.nu since 2009 by posting my looks and share them on it and since then, there are some people asking me to blog about my look. At first, I didn't really care bout that, but then I don't think it's a bad idea to make myself a blog so that I could write more about the look on the blog or whatever I want to. To be a fashion blogger you don't have to be tall or short, skinny or fat and whatsoever. She is a very talented and super creative fashion designer, make up artist and she used to be a shoes collector (it did influence me a lot). how did you come up with the name of your blog I didn’t put much thought into my blog name to be honest. I don’t remember why, but I’ve always adored the word “allure” and have used it multiple times in the past, including in my grade 11 marketing and international business project. when where you introduced to fashion

I’ve always admired fashion and found myself browsing through a ton of fashion websites. It wasn’t until my first year in university where I was extremely absorbed into the fashion world and found myself staying up late into the night just to browse through various fashion blogs.

how do you describe your style My style is very simple and feminine. I try to go along with the saying, “less is more”. My closet mainly consists of light pastels, neutrals, and featherweight pieces. what made you start a fashion blog I was inspired after coming across Marta’s blog (With Love Gabrielle), a fellow Torontonian blogger. It wasn’t just her personal style that impressed me but the fact that she came forth and spoke about the most fascinating things! I was interested in finding myself an outlet to express my personal style, as well as my personal, everyday life. I didn’t expect to see my blog grow so much throughout the past two years - I’m extremely thankful for my group supportive readers! what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world Hopefully, something unique and different. You can pretty much work them into every outfit and they can be worn throughout all four seasons.

I was searching for something that everybody can remember and as we all love and know those "i heart alice " shirts, i camp up with" i heart Alice". how did you come up with the name

of your blog I love fashion and I love coffee. Glam Coffee just didn't sound as good :) No but seriously I LOVE stopping for an impromptu latte or coffee. It is often how I catch up with girlfriends mid week. Fashion to me can be as social as a coffee break and blogging is about as social as it comes! when where you introduced to fashion I began modeling at a young age and you get exposed to so much. how do you describe your style I would say casual chic.

what made your start a fashion blog I wanted to be a part of a community that shared my passion for fashion as well as have an outlet to express myself :) what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world I try to talk to my readers like they're friends and as a result many have become just that. But I include my own life experiences and because I am in the entertainment industry I try to bring those things to my blog as well. How is your style different than everyone else I grew up on the east coast but I have lived in Los Angeles for 9 years so I think my style has evolved into a blend of the two. I learned to dress more chic and sophisticated on the east coast but California has forced me to translate that into a more casual everyday way of dressing. I also wear things in my outfit posts that I would really wear out on the street. I don't try to style for the pages of Vogue when posting. (as fun as that might be, it's just not practical) so I come up with outfits that are wearable. who is your inspiration I am inspired every morning when I go to all the other wonderful fashion blogs. I think we all inspire each other. I know I learn a lot from them and hopefully they learn things from me. what impression do you want to leave on the people that visits your blog I want to bring a little sunshine into their day. It's a go to piece that I can grab, throw on with jeans and heels and know I am going to look out together. My other (can I pick 2?!) is a black mini by Max Studio that I thrifted several years ago. how did you come up with the name of your blog I was nicknamed Ducky long ago by two guys, my elementary school mates. The nickname persisted through the years and it really grew on me so when I was deciding on a name for my blog, I knew it would be something with "duck" in it. I also considered some other names, for example Crime Of Fashion, but Duckalicious won. Now I'm actually happy I didn't choose anything with the word "fashion" in it as I consider my blog a style blog much more than a fashion one. when where you introduced to fashion I liked to browse through fashion mags for as long as I can remember, but the "moment of truth" for me was the discovery of fashion/style blogs. They really sucked me in and I soon decided I wanted my own. how do you describe your style If I had to describe my style in one word, I'd prefer to call it "eclectic" (but to be honest, that might be a bit of an overstatement). I like many styles and especially mixing them up. how did you come up with the name of your blog I chose La Vagabond Dame as the name of my blog because I never quite had a concrete style, sort of like how a vagabond does not have a permanent home. I dubbed myself a fashion vagabond because my style is always fluctuating and it is very eclectic. I am also always constantly taking in new ideas and inspiration and learning new ways to incorporate new styles that appeal to me into my outfits.

when where you introduced to fashion I was introduced to fashion at a very young age. I loved to dress up as a young girl and experimenting with different styles of clothing. How did you come up the name of your blog Wasted Wardrobe kind of has a double meaning for me. My hometown of Milwaukee is definitely a beer-centric city, for one! Also, I used to get all gussied up then end up either staying in or just hitting a dive bar where no one cares about fashion... So I'd always say something like 'Oh, another night for my wasted wardrobe.' But I enjoy getting dressed no matter what the circumstances, so I think Wasted Wardrobe is really just me representing Brew City in the blog world. when were you introduced to fashion Hmm, well, I do remember my mom telling me about the first day of kindergarten and how I threw a tantrum because I wanted to pick out my own outfit, not the little Jordache dress she had planned for me. Mom won that round, but now I wear whatever I want! :) how do you describe your style I feel that my style today still retains some of the influence that made a big impression on me in my youth. Grunge was huge when I was in middle school, when I got my first pair of Docs (silver!) and that eventually morphed into this kind of cartoon goth when I was in high school. I think I tend to fall back to those styles, not in their pure form, but in little glimmers of inspiration. I consider myself an adventurous person and that definitely comes through in my personal style... I'll try anything! I like to get a lot of bang for my buck, so I'm constantly sniffing out deals. I almost never buy anything full price. Rather than pointing out how expensive my outfit is, I point out how little I paid. But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate quality. Shoes are my splurge items, even though I usually get them at a sale price. Life's too short to wear poorly made shoes. who is your inspiration I think mood is more my inspiration than an actual person. But I really enjoy Lykke Li's style. She's got a really dark bohemian thing going on that I find myself leaning towards, plus she's a really intense live performer. She just lets it all out and flails around. how did you come up with the name of your blog I admit that the name of my blog is quite unusual for a fashion blog... Well, I chose Crazy Pig's Ideas, because pig is my favourite animal, the "crazy" reflects my personality (It's not a diagnosis, but it's true in some way :D), and "ideas", uh, because I liked it :) when where you introduced to fashion I've always liked fashion since I was little, but I was kind of passive follower very long time. It's about 3 years ago that I became more seriously interested about it :) how do you describe your style My friends always say about my style that it's as crazy and original as me :D In general, my style consists in neutral colours, as is black, beige, white and grey; I wear practically only these. I also try to mix rock with vintage, two styles that are closest to me. what made you start a fashion blog I don't really know. I had many blogs before, which weren't about fashion, and when I noticed that the fashion blog community is still bigger and bigger, I told to myself that I could give it a try, too. And I'm very satisfied, I think It's more than about posting photos, I met a lot of amazing people thanks to blogging!

what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world It's difficult to consider myself like this... Maybe a little bit of creativity. Sometimes, when reading some blogs (not all!), I feel like they're just about following trends, that there's no personal touch. I hope that I go further than this... And even if I know that I'm far away from drawing well, I use to post some of my art, because I think that fashion isn't just about clothes. how is your style different than every one else I buy a lot of clothes in thrift stores, where I always find some rare piece, so there aren't many people who would wear the same thing... What is also different are my hairstyles- I often wear a bun or a pony tail at the very top or my head. who or what is your inspiration My biggest inspiration are, of course, fashion blogs. If I had to name my favourite bloggers, it would be Laure from grunge manners, then the awesome rocker Liisa from fruit machine , Jessica from fascinationdrop and Ivania from love aesthetics. Then, I'm also inspired by artists, for example Anna Higgie, or more famous one- Toulouse-Lautrec. And finally, people with such an inspiring character, as is Hugh Laurie, but this has nothing to do with fashion, of course. who is your inspiration That's a difficult question. Of course I care about what impressions I leave on my readers, but It's not like "I can't write this, they would say I'm crazy" or something. I think it's on readers to decide if I seem likable to them or not, I surely can't leave positive impression on all of them... In general, I want them to realize they read real me, that I'm not acting like someone else or better. I want to leave an impression of me like normal, slightly crazy girl, who has a lot of interests :) who is your favorite designer As I'm far away from having enough money to buy any designer clothes, I don't follow all of the amazing collections regularly. But I really admire Alexander Wang's original concept, with all its specific geometry and layering. I remember being completely infatuated with my first fashion idol's style - Kate Moss. how do you describe your style Casual and toned-down Asian punk. My new Doc Martens boots have inspired me to dress a completely different way!
what made you start a fashion blog The first fashion blog I discovered was Childhoodflames.blogspot.com by Camille. Her amazing photos and inspiring style really made me want to have my own space to develop my photography and style as well. So I guess that's how Ellevictoire started! what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world I just like to remind people that fashion doesn't have to be all about high heels and Chanel bags; it can be playful and comfortable too! A couple days ago, I got an email from a reader telling me that she hadn't seen an outfit picture like mine featuring sneakers in a long time. how is your style different than everyone else I don't really dress according to what's "in". how did you come up with the name of your blog I was trying to think of something creative... something that described me in some way... and that's what I came up with. when where you introduced to fashion I was introduced to fashion when i was little, I loved drawing outfits and dressing up my dolls. how did you come up with the name of your blog “Dirty Hair Halo” is the name of one of my favorite Black Crowes songs. In thinking of a name for my blog I didn’t want to use the words “style” or “fashion” because it’s too obvious and cheesy. how did you come up with the name of your blog My nickname to friends and family is A.Co and I'd used, A. Co est. 1984 when I was younger, as I was born in '84, so it just fit. when where you introduced to fashion I was introduced to fashion at a super young age. Not high fashion, not necessarily glamour at home, but, I had the itch. My mom always says I've been picking my outfits out since I was two years old (which in turn was a bit of a nightmare for her!). how do you describe your style I would describe my style as ever-changing, but typically girly-chic with an edge. I love pretty details, I like looking and feeling like a girl, but I always throwing something edgy into them mix (a leather jacket, unexpected heels, chunky jewelry). I tend to lean towards more feminine styles as I'm not a big fan of the masculine look for myself, but I never want to look too sugary. what made you start a fashion blog One of my closest friends had started a food blog and I was so intrigued. She urged me to start my own blog, but I was hesitant. 'What would I write about?', I asked. 'Fashion, of course!', she said. And so A.Co est. 1984 was born.

what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world Hopefully the realization that looking like a million bucks doesn't translate into spending that much. I'm a huge sale shopper, always looking for deals and ways to stretch my money. I almost feel like getting a great deal is even better than scoring something designer. Now sure, we would all love to buy designer, all the time, but for most of us, that's just not a reality. However, it shouldn't limit your style, nor creativity. I enjoy getting more for my money, that way, when I get sick of that uber trendy top I purchased for $20, it's no big deal to move on. If I spent $100 or more, it'd be a little heartbreaking. how is your style different than everyone else My style is my own, that's all I can say. I think everyone draws inspiration from different factors in their life and since no two people are the same, nor draw the same inspiration, everyone's style is different. However, it's the creative ones who care about fashion to make it note-worthy. who is your inspiration My inspiration comes from all facets
of my life. I love seeing what other bloggers are wearing, celebrities and friends. Sometimes you see someone in something that you would have never thought to put together. I don't necessarily want to copy it, I want to put my own twist on it. what impression do you want to leave on the people that visits your blog I hope when people visit my blog they see someone they can relate to and be inspired by. I want people to see that, yes, those jeans are inexpensive, or no, my shoes aren't designer but they look damn good - and they can too. I want other readers to relate, feel inspired and enjoy coming to my blog. The last thing I want is for someone to think they can't dress like I do because they can't afford it. That's not the case with
me, almost everything I wear would be affordable to most, it's just mixing and matching with a closet from all walks of life. who is your favorite designer Since I'm a shoe feen,(see my shoe room) I would have to say Christian Louboutin. Almost every pair of shoes he creates, I fall in love with. I would love to say I have several pairs, however I have one pair of his shoes, which I purchased for
my wedding. what piece is a must have in your closet Hmmm this is a toughie. I certainly have must-haves in my closet, but do I have to choose just one?! Fine - pashminas. I own over 30 and love them. They work all year round and add style to the plainest of plain outfits. They are easy to pack, look good smoth or wrinkled and come in a aray of colours, fabrics and patterns. You can belt it, wrap it, fold it, drape it - so versatile! A pashmina will instantly chic-up your oufit, and I always have one with me.

how did you come up with the name of your blog The Moonchild is an astrological term. Since I’m Cancerian, I thought why not? It’s almost like an alias, in a way. when where you introduced to fashion Honestly, you should be getting a good 15 years of photos in order for me to answer this question. In actual fact, my parents are designers, part of the Australian scene, so I guess it runs through my blood. I started really appreciating fashion as a way to express myself when I splattered paint on my jeans at the mere age of 7, and decided to leave it there. People made comments, both nice and nasty, but I decided to ignore both and just wore my jeans the way I liked. Unfortunately those jeans are long gone, but the memory lasts. how do you describe your style My dad told me that even at a young age, I developed a strong alternative style. I had my hair cut pixie short when I was 8 and despised skirts. My style is definitely influenced by my music. Indie, thrifted, and unique. It is for this reason I do at times make my own clothing. I love a monochromatic look, paired with my favorite band t-shirt, and at times a flannel shirt. I am the type of girl who likes to wear sneakers with dresses, and I’m not afraid to get paint on my clothes. what made you start a fashion blog I wanted people to see a connection between music and fashion. So although I’m not going to find a Victorian ball gown to show you how [[in this case baroque]] music can influence style, but I will tell you one thing: the idea of thrifted clothing didn’t magically come to somebody. Honestly, you used to buy thrifted clothing if you were unable to afford it at a proper store. In fact it was the alternative music of the 80’s. The rockers that weren’t able to make a living from their music often found old flannels and thrifted jumpers at charity stores for next to nothing. Eventually, this became their apparent style. what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world Inspiration, something to have learnt. I try to inject a little bit of this and that in my blog: art, photography, and the little things I notice in life. The little thoughts I have on popular music, the feelings I may have on a random August afternoon, and my interview with indie bands I love finding. how did you come up with the name of your blog To be honest, it just randomly came up when i was trying to think of a blog name that described my feelings of my presence in this world at that time. Haha i don't literally sleepwalk but i just felt that alot of us are living as if we are sleepwalking, not exactly clear of what we are doing from day to day, yet we are stuck in a world of orderly patterns and regular routines just like 9 to 5.

how did you come up with the name of your blog I came up with the name for my blog because I always knew about what Paradigm meant and I loved how it embodied and pretty much defined what my blog was all about when where you introduced to fashion Well. how did you come up with the name of your blog I was born in 1986 and the 80s and 90s have a lot to do with how I saw fashion, and being the cheesy person that I am, thought that maybe I could call myself the lovechild of both eras. when where you introduced to fashion I blame it on my Mom. She liked to dress me up and take me to thrift stores and high-end stores alternately. When I was 6, I remember segregating my closet into two parts, separating clothes I didn't like to wear because the embroidery looked cheap, or that the flowers were stitched in the wrong places, the fabric didn't look flattering. Of course I didn't point it out in that manner then, but remembering them now, I realized why they didn't make it to my favorites. how do you describe your style Adventurous. I'm pretty much a chameleon which could be risque because I'm a lot more prone to committing a few booboos once in a while but I love that part about expressing myself freely. how did you come up with the name of your blog We love our fringes. When something goes wrong with it, like when the stylist cuts it wrong or something, we really can’t function well and everything gets affected. This isn’t exaggeration. We just found ourselves browsing through Lookbook, Chictopia, and different fashion blogs like Le Blog de Betty, Little Miss Dress Up, Fashion Ate the World, and a whole lot more. We’re very much inspired by the internet’s fashion battalion. how do you describe your style Christine: I really can’t describe my style. I’d say I just wear what I’m comfortable wearing on a certain day, event, place or weather. I really like florals and skirts though. I like looking like I’m going to a picnic on a hot summer day. how did you come up with the name of your blog  
The letter ch is something very personal to me. Growing up in Peru, I was
taught that CH was a letter in the Spanish alphabet (which it was, until it was
later removed). So, to me that’s just a part of my life in Peru.  It represents
something which used to be but is currently something
most people have forgotten. I’m a big fan of vintage fashion so
that’s what it’s talking about. Bringing something back that people might have
forgotten about.  (Also, who doesn’t think the sound of the word Chutney or
Chunnel or chum is hilarious?)  when where you introduced to
fashion I was introduced to fashion at a very early age.  My mom grew up
making her own clothes so I’ve learned from her a lot. Just by looking at pictures
of her when she was young is incredibly inspiring. I have seen pictures
of her wearing knee-high gladiator sandals and
braiding her super long hair (at the time) to pictures
of her wearing faux leopard coats and black tights.
It’s crazy to methat her style then has come back and is relevant now. (I’m
also very lucky cause I can raid her closet ;) ) how do you describe
your style I LOVE the whole rock/bohemian look. The combination of
the two just blows my mind. Silver rings and long braided
hair, long slimming maxi skirts with leather jackets
just describes my perfect outfit. I just love it.
Putting together an unconventional outfit that works is what I aim to do. 
what made you start a fashion blog I feel like I can relate
to other people who have the same interests as me.

I just bring a little piece of south Florida. Trying to dress well and

how did you come up with the name of your blog I got it from the song The Bomb by Bitter:Sweet. A few lines go: "Taste all your hearts desires. Take a boat ride through the sky and play. Go where it is you want to go. See the world on a float someday." And the phrase "boat ride through the sky" just stuck. I like the message of the whole song -- taking chances and enjoying life and all -- and so, I decided to make it my blog's name to remind me of how I should live my life everyday. when where you introduced to fashion I guess I can say that I was exposed to fashion at an early age, having a mom who was quite a fashionista in her time (even if she doesn't think so). It was important to her that I looked nice and pretty all the time (what mother doesn't want that for her child, right?), so when I was little, she or my nanny would dress me up in frilly Sunday dresses and stockings, and they'd always make sure that my hair was slicked back and neat. Playing dress up with my Barbie dolls also helped, I suppose. Of course, I eventually learned how to choose my own clothes and picked up personal preferences along the way. But I think I peaked when I got to college, when I didn't have to wear a uniform anymore like in grade school and high school! how do you describe your style This is always such a difficult question to answer, because I don't like limiting myself to one style. But I guess I've always leaned more towards the feminine and romantic pieces, like lace and florals. I also like to keep things simple and natural as much as possible, so whatever feels good for the day is always the way to go for me.
what made you start a fashion blog I've been blogging ever since end of 2003, but I kept it more private and personal at LiveJournal. Over at LJ, I joined a few fashion communities, which I think really opened me up to the idea of starting a fashion blog, but it actually took me a couple of years before doing it (I only started January of this year!). Before putting up my blog, I satisfied myself to just stalking my favorite blogs, but later on, I realized I wanted to share a bit of myself, too, so my blog was born! what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world My charm and my witty sense of humor. Har har, just kidding. I'm not sure, but I always make it a point not to take fashion too seriously, and I hope that other people can loosen up and just have fun with it as well. There's so much more about fashion and about life in general that need appreciating! how is your style different than everyone else That's a tough one! I guess don't really keep tabs on the trends. As long as I like it, I'll wear it, whether it's considered "in" or not. Of course, it's inevitable to take a few ideas from other people, but I do make sure I incorporate them without compromising my personality and wear them with sure comfort and confidence.

how did you come up with the name of your blog I wanted something that sounded provocative but was easy to remember so i came up with my little alliteration. when where you introduced to fashion I've always cared about how my clothes look on me. I think I got it from my mom and sister. I had my own little fashion world up until I studied in Paris. Those months really opened up my eyes to the industry, and made me love it even more. how do you describe your style Hmmm... its difficult to answer this question since I don't really have a distinct style (I think), or if I do, I have no idea what it is! Maybe street chic? what made you start a fashion blog It was a bit of an experiment at first, a stress reliever from my university's academic pressure. I've always been an avid fan of fashion blogs, and I wanted to see if I could capture the same feeling if I started my own blog. what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world I think my blog is extra interesting because im from the PHILIPPINES, and most people don't even know where that is! There are only a handful of people who care about fashion here, and I think my blog has the power to inspire others from this corner of the globe to experiment with style. how did you come up with the name of your blog "Heat" is the first half of my name (Heather) and I also love hot weather and outfits. "Storm" kind of represents a kind of randomness and electricity. "Heat storm" is also another term for a heat wave... how did you come up with the name of your blog The name SWAY started long ago... I adopted it as my own purely based on its strong meaning "to influence and control". We all know life is impermanent so we must find ways to take control over the things that affect our lives. I remember as a child flipping through the tele to find something fun to watch when I stumbled across Fashion Television. It was at that very point that my love for fashion began. how do you describe your style My style can be described as ANDROGYNOUS - I have a tendency to buy and wear men's clothing (and accessories etc) and pair them with feminine pieces to create an androgynous appeal. My wardrobe choices tend to change day to day based on my mood but I ALWAYS choose my SHOES FIRST prior to deciding on what to wear... I like to work around my shoes. It's a bizarre concept (so I've been told) but I have an insane obsession with shoes and prefer them to be the focal point in my outfits. My other unhealthy addictions includes sterling silver jewelery and leather! what made you start a fashion blog I've always been an avid fashion blog/site reader and started noticing people who had similar pieces of clothing/shoes but worn so differently. It was inspirational and mind blowing to see items being worn in ways I would have never imagined to be worn! That's what led me to start my own blog... what piece is a must have in your closet Basics are essential... cotton t shirt/tank, a pair of really good denims, a blazer and a classic leather jacket can take you further than you know. It doesn't matter what the trend is or what's fashionable at that given moment... a wardrobe is built upon a series of basics and it is the foundation to a spectacular closet! When in doubt my go to items are... a pair of skinny denims, black cotton t and a pair of ankle booties... throw an over-sized blazer into the mix and I'm ready to head out the door! :)

What does fashion mean to you Fashion is God's gift to women who embrace & celebrate their femininity. It is life changing and beautiful.When were you introduced to fashion As a child I was always drawing, I developed figures around the age of ten and started dressing my figures, which was when I realized that this might be what I want to do with my life. Who is your favorite designer I like Ann Valerie Hash, but I cannot say that she is my favorite. I have so many favorites. Which piece in collection is a must have There is a little black petal & pin-tuck dress that works well with any body type, it will make a women feel confident and beautiful.

How do you describe you style First and foremost, I am a romantic at heart; therefore I always find a way to incorporate that in my designs. Flower pedals and transparency inspired the current collection. It is flirty, young, and just sexy enough, it channels modern femininity without being too girly.

What pushed you to design you own label I would say that I was gravitated towards it rather then pushed. I am in such a state of joy when I design that I felt propelled to express my vision and point of view to the world.

What do you think you bring to the fashion world My point of view has yet to be expressed. My designs redefine the traditional garment while pushing the limits of dress design in innovative ways. I want to inspire people.

Who is your inspiration The better question for me is (what). I am rarely inspired by peoples work. My inspiration usually comes from objects, intuition & intangible emotion. What impression do you want to leave on the guests who attend your show I want them to feel inspired.

how did you come up with the name of your blog I’ve always loved the name Lolita (my actual name is Emma) and I wanted to use it, adding the ‘Says so’ to the end was spur of the moment and it makes it sound like more of a blog, than just a person. Lolita Say's So when where you introduced to fashion I grew up in Paris with my sister and my mother. My mother was an artist so I was forever going in and out of galleries and drawing. This love of art progressed to a love of fashion when I would flick through my sister’s Vogues. From then I was intrigued by fashion and would cover my walls in the photos I liked from magazines. Now, I know I am meant to work within the fashion world; it’s all I think about! how do you describe your style I dress a lot to how I feel. So if I’m feeling excited that it’s summer I’ll put on my most summery outfit, and if I’m feeling tough I’ll put on some leather and tough boots! But if this is my philosophy, I breach what I preach because sometimes I’ll put an outfit on to cheer myself up. I love to dress up too- I have a growing collection of headpieces, masks and costume jewelry, what made you start a fashion blog I was reading other fashion blogs before I started mine, so I guess these were an inspiration. But also I wanted a place to put all the photos that I find everywhere! I love Tim Walker’s work, it takes the viewer to a fantasy world and in unlike any other photographers work. how did you come up with the name of your blog In the beginning my blog was called “Chahana’s Blog”, it was a little tedious so I changed it to “Fabulous Fantastic” . The name started with Sex and the City, my favorite TV show. I loved that Carrie always said “fabulous”, it passed down on to me and I aimed to rhyme it into a catchy name – “Fabulous Fantastic”when where you introduced to fashion Like most girls, I’ve always had an appreciation for clothing but I think I started to bloom into my utter love for fashion when I was introduced to Blogspot about a year and a half ago and exposed to all wonderful and inspirational fashion blogs. how do you describe your style My style has changed through out the years and it still is from a variety of teenage trashy to vintage girly. What made you start a fashion blog A friend of mine suggested I start a daily blog due to a complicated situation I was going through and express my feelings through blogging, I was never quite good at that, this eventually lead to inspirational fashion posts and so I decided to compose it into a fashion blog with inspirational images, my friends and family and just my daily life and outfits through photos, it became my recreational activity. what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world Like many other fashion blogs I try to bring fashion, variety, fun, passion and creativity but in my own individual way through random buys, my life with friends and family, occasionally videos and other random fashion related topics. how is your style different than everyone else It’s different yet similar to other styles. I am influenced by many but wear clothing in my own way, a combination of different styles. I don’t like sticking to one and I like experimenting with what I wear. I adore my prints, colours and neutrals along with anything that will stand out and catch an eye. who is your inspiration My main inspiration would have to be my mother and her vintage wardrobe. My mum had a thing for fashion when she was younger just like me. She is honestly the most beautiful woman I know, strong, independent, and loving. Celebrity inspirations would include the Olsen’s, Amber Rose and Harley Viera Newton, their effortless style and outfits make me so envious! what impression do you want to leave on the people the visits your blog I want them to see what my passion is, that fashion is what makes me feel good and comfortable about myself inside and out. who is your favorite designer I’m not a brands person and I don’t particularly have a favourite designer, I like bits and pieces from all different labels/shops. But I must mention Alexandra Wang, his spring 2010 collection is marvellously spectacular and I want to own all his bucket bags. what piece is a must have in your closet Shoes! Shoe! Shoes! Anyone that knows me well enough knows I am utterly fanatical about shoes! I have pairs and pairs of them and I have a small closet to put them in but it’s quite cluttered and filling up rapidly. Also my latest love are rings, I’ve begun a collection and also started making my own just for fun.

when did you notice your love for music I recognized my love for music around age 13. It wasn't uncommon to get together with a couple of my friends after school to jam on the piano and drums and such. how did you come up with the name of your band I brainstormed for quite a while actually. As the sound evolved and became more of what I envisioned, I also took a look around to see who was involved. We had an assembly of amazing people. All individually profound. Hence the name "the congress." I wanted something sophisticated, sexy, and "fresh" (in the east coast meaning aka hip) how do you describe your style I guess I can describe my style as an intermix of all my influences. I love jazz from the late 50's and 60's. Rare groove of the 70's, hip hop from the early 90's , gospel music as well. A lot of my sense of harmony comes from gospel and jazz traditions. If I had to describe it in a few words... a trench of organic fresh new sound waves. what made you start your own band I was hesitant and discouraged at 1st . I heard so many horror stories of what it takes to keep a band functional and flourishing. I guess being in a successful band helped bring the idea to reality. I wanted to create a new sound at 1st. There's also such satisfaction in hearing your compositions being played and reinterpreted by amazing musicians who you consider family.
what do you think you bring to the music world truth, hope, and beauty.. There's something so real and reminiscent of the truth in the music that I'm writing. It's coming from an authentic place. There's hope that you can be different but still familiar and be successful or recognized. And there's such beauty in the raw sound of the music. how is your style different than everyone else : I'm not trying to follow the over produced pop format. I'm taking the old school route with real musicians and a full band sound. However, the music is still extremely digestible and catchy with memorable melodies and hooks. who is your inspiration life, relationships, my family, Miles Davis, D'angelo, Prince, Roy Hargrove, Me'Shell Ndegeocello, Marvin Gaye, Billie Holliday
what impression do you want to leave on the people that listen to your music I want people to feel like they're receiving whatever they need at the time as they are listening; whether it be inspiration, nostalgia, reassurance, clarity etc who is your favorite musician: hmmm that's tough I love so many of them. would be easier if you were to ask trumpet player maybe. I'd probably say Miles Davis. He's influenced my playing and use of space tremendously. what record is a must have in ones collection D'angelo's Voodoo timeless and a perfect blend of old school with a modern approach. True to the idea of real music

how did you come up with the name of your blog I wish I had a longer and better answer to this question. But the answer is simple, Polliani is my surname, and for those who know me it is easy to remember my blog and visit ofter. when where you introduced to fashion I have always been into fashion and obsessed with shopping and dressing up. When I was younger I loved looking in magazines and was dreaming of dresses and shoes. how do you describe your style I have changed my styles a lot over the years. I'm finally satisfied with how I look and who I am. I love the 80’s and the 90’s and mix vintage with new design. I dresses like a confused rock chick. I love grays and black, leather and studs but I can easily wear clothes with crazy patterns and strong shoulders. I love being feminine so I like to show my legs and a lot of skin. It is not always easy to dress nicely in a country that has 9 months with minus degrees outside so when its cold I use a lot of fur, hoods, leather and boots what made you start a fashion blog My passion for fashion got so big and I was obsessed by looking into magazines, or shopping, and looking up stuff on the internet and felt like I didn't have many people around me to talk about all of this. I work as a TV director and caster and my job has given me an opportunity to shop all around the world. how did you come up with the name of your blog I've had a lot of people ask me if "Fred" is a boy. It's not a hopeless teenage crush. Frederick Hans Gutenburg (named by my friend) is my Canon 450D. I'm Jess. It's pretty self explanatory from there on.
when where you introduced to fashion I walked into a Salvation Army store one day on the hunt for a Polaroid camera, and I ended up thrifting some threads. I ended up getting so obsessed with thrifting, and my interest in fashion stemmed from that.
how do you describe your style An elderly lady on a diet of rainbows and high heels with a lonely heart. what made you start a fashion blog I think I just wanted an outlet to whine about things I wanted to buy, but had no money to.what do you think you bring to the fashion blog world Hopefully, I bring a different perspective. I post a lot of other people's photography and random musings, so my blog is largely not just about fashion - which I hope is refreshing. Also, I'm the only fashion blogger I know who has a giant deer, space ship and a rooster in their header. how is your style different than everyone else Well, I wear a lot of grandma silk blouses, and I incorporate a lot of color into my outfits. how did you come up with the name of your blog I really don’t know… the day I was thinking to create the blog I was at home with a roommate and we were laughing and joking about different names! At the end I thought about “La Buena Estrella” because of a book that I read a long time ago and I really like it ( in English it’s called “The Joy Luck Club” and the author is Amy Tan). For me this book has a special meaning and reminds me that everyone has a star to follow and find his own way. when where you introduced to fashion I’ve always loved fashion, since I was a child, my mum is a completely fashionist and my sister too.
I think is something genetic because in my family I had always my own fashion icons! I think that my relationship with fashion has been growing since I begin to dress up with my mum bags and shoes at home when I was 7 or 8 years old!! how did you come up with the name of your blog To be honest it just came to me, it had a nice ring to it, was warm and friendly so that’s what I went with. when where you introduced to fashion My first introduction to fashion would be shopping adventures with my mum when I was little. My mum has a great eye for vintage pieces in particular, so I definitely picked up my love of classic fashion from her. how do you describe your style Fun, feminine and creative, with a strong vintage element. Regardless of what I’m wearing, I always tend to incorporate something ‘pretty’ into my outfit, whether it be a floral print, bow headband or full skirt. what made you start a fashion blog I have always loved fashion and design. how did you come up with the name of your blog First of all, "sabo" to us is short for sabotage. One day during our weekly Friday night shopping trips, we both spotted this amazing, embellished lace skirt and we instantly knew we had to try it on. Although it looked like a skirt sent from heaven on the hanger, it was the most unflattering skirt we'd both ever tried on, so we named it the 'sabo skirt'. That term has stuck with us ever since! when were you introduced to fashion We both became totally obsessed with fashion and shopping in our mid teens. how do you describe your styles It's a mix between high end fashion and street style while looking effortless and chic. what made you start a fashion blog Last year, we came across Rumi and Tommy Ton's blogs and fell completely in love with them..Finally we decided that we'd start a blog as a hobby, seeing as we both love to dress up and have an abundance of clothes. how did you come up with the name of your blog I was thinking the term, "Model Off Duty" and thought, "Natalie Off Duty" was perfect for the blog is about me on a more personal level, when I'm not working as a model. I share my personal style, thoughts, and inspirations. when where you introduced to fashion I really got interested in fashion in high school. I would collect all the Teen Vogues. I think I still have most of them laying around somewhere!
how do you describe your style My style is all over the place. I don't stick to just one look. Its sort of androgynous. I like tough boy clothes like button-ups and blazers, but I still like feminine, beautiful pieces. I do hope that I am inspiring people to take risks, just be true to themselves, and find comfort in their own skin.
